Normal values for the adult and pediatric electrocardiogram (ECG) have been determined in a good many studies, but they all carry their imperfections: the study populations are often small, they may not cover the full range of ages, may give data for only one sex, or are limited in their choice of measurements. We established an up-to-date and comprehensive set of clinically current normal values for the ECG, covering all ages for both sexes. The measurements have been made by the Modular ECG Analysis System (MEANS), an established ECG computer program. Normal values are not only available by age and sex in tabular form, as in previous studies, but also in graphical form as continuous functions of age.
